Species Recovery in Numbers

Species Recovery

Our breeding and rewilding programme has been central to the Mountain Bongo's story in Kenya for two decades, working to grow a species that today numbers fewer than eighty in the wild. Since 2024, our new Elephant Rescue Centre and Rhino Programme have extended that same long term goal to two more species: measurable recovery, not just headline moments.

Conservation That Reaches Beyond the Fence Line

Beyond the Fence Line

Curriculum linked programmes bring thousands of Kenyan students to the Conservancy every year, and our community outreach work builds shared pride and responsibility for protecting Mount Kenya among the people who share the mountain with its wildlife.

How We Report

Transparency

These figures are drawn from our own conservation and guest facing reporting, and are updated as our programmes grow. Where a number cannot yet be independently confirmed, we say so rather than guess.
